Europe's heat wave from space
Europe has faced one of the most intense regional droughts of the past decades. With temperatures of between 30° and 45° C and almost no precipitation, our landscapes have changed drastically in just a couple of weeks, which is also visible from space.
Various satellites including PROBA-V have seen our vegetation react on the persistent drought. The images of 7 August 2017 and 6 August 2018 show there is a clear difference in vegetation color.
