PROBA-V on to the next phase
Time flies when you’re … monitoring the Earth! But unfortunately, all good things come to an end, even so for PROBA-V.
Our small but brave vegetation satellite has entered its final week as one of ESA’s operational missions and we want to count down these last operational days together with you, our engaged and professional PROBA-V community, to celebrate 7 years of daily global vegetation monitoring.
From multiple mission extensions over additional 100 m global syntheses to the continuity of the SPOT-VEGETATION time series and bridging the gap towards Sentinel-3 data, ESA’s small satellite has given us much more than we could have expected back in 2013. But next week, the time has come to officially switch PROBA-V's status from operational to experimental including e.g. observations over Europe and Africa.
Sad? Perhaps. Exciting Definitely! Because this story isn’t completely over yet! Discover more about PROBA-V’s upcoming phase and stay tuned for what’s coming next week!
