Let's celebrate 7 years in space

Today we celebrate PROBA-V’s seventh birthday. ESA's small satellite was launched from Kourou, French Guyana On May 7, 2013 to serve the global land surface community with high-quality vegetation observations.
To celebrate its last 'operational' birthday we gathered a selection of best-of satellite images, interesting user quotes and memorable moments at www.proba-v.be.
Additionally, in these unprecedented times in which we are forced to stay, work, and communicate from home, we also created a series of beautiful virtual backgrounds for you to use in your online meeting platforms such as Teams, Zoom, ...
On 30 June 2020, PROBA-V will perform its last operational observations. But fortunately, due to the excellent radiometric and geometric performance, PROBA-V will enter an experimental phase from July 1, 2020 until October 30, 2021.
